Terms of Service & Rental Agreement

1. Booking & Payment To secure your residency dates, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the scheduled installation date. If a residency is booked less than 7 days in advance, full payment is required immediately.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Guest Cancellations: Cancellations made 14 days or more before the scheduled check-in will receive a refund of the deposit (minus a small processing fee). Cancellations made less than 14 days prior result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

  • Weather Policy: While our structures are waterproof, we prioritize guest comfort and safety. If heavy rain or high winds (over 20mph) are predicted 24 hours before your installation, we reserve the right to postpone. In this case, you will be offered a full "Rain Check" credit to reschedule your residency within 12 months. We do not offer refunds for weather cancellations once the suite has been fully installed.

3. Site Requirements & Preparation

  • Space: The Client must provide a flat, soft surface (grass or dirt) of at least 22 x 22 feet to accommodate the architectural structure and tension lines. The area must be clear of rocks, debris, and animal waste prior to our arrival.

  • Access: We require clear access to the setup area (side gate width of at least 30 inches). We cannot manually carry equipment up more than 3 stairs unless previously discussed and arranged.

  • Underground Utilities: The structure is secured using heavy-duty stakes driven 12–18 inches into the ground. The Client is strictly responsible for marking all underground sprinkler lines, cables, and utilities prior to setup. Garden Loft LA is not liable for damage to underground pipes or cables that were not clearly marked.

4. Equipment Care & Damage (The "White Glove" Standard) We use hotel-grade linens and high-end furnishings. To maintain this standard for all guests, we enforce the following:

  • No Shoes: Shoes must be removed before entering the canvas suite.

  • Food & Drink: Water is permitted throughout the suite. We kindly ask that red wine, coffee, chocolate, and berries be enjoyed at the provided tables/lounge seating, not in the bed.

  • Prohibited Items: Smoking, vaping, and pets are strictly prohibited inside or near the structure.

  • Damage Fees: The Client is responsible for the security of the equipment during the residency. Any damage beyond normal wear and tear (including wine stains, candle burns, tears, or broken furniture) will be deducted from the security deposit at replacement cost. A minimum professional cleaning fee of $100 will apply for extensive staining.

5. Liability & Safety

  • Supervision: Garden Loft LA provides the accommodation structure and furnishings only. The Client is responsible for the safety of all guests using the amenities.

  • Assumption of Risk: The Client acknowledges that the use of outdoor structures and lighting involves inherent risks. Garden Loft LA assumes no liability for injuries, accidents, or allergic reactions that occur during the rental period.

6. Image Release We take pride in our architectural installations. Unless you explicitly request otherwise in writing, Garden Loft LA reserves the right to take photography of the setup (without guests present) for portfolio, marketing, and social media purposes.
